The Marine Museum of Manitoba has established two endowment funds to provide a secure and stable source of funding for the museum today, tomorrow, and forever.  Our, “Heritage Trust Endowment Fund” is held and professionally managed by the Winnipeg Foundation. Donations to the fund are held in-perpetuity, with the  generated income supporting the museum’s operations and mission.    Our, “Perpetual Care Fund” is held and professionally managed by the Selkirk & District Community Foundation. Donations to the fund are held in-perpetuity, with the income generated going to the maintenance and operation of the Museum. Endowment funds are an important tool for museums and other non-profit cultural organizations to achieve long-term sustainability.

Heritage Trust Endowment Fund

This year the Marine Museum of Manitoba has launched its 2024 fundraising campaign for our Heritage Trust Endowment Fund.  The museum aims to raise $25,000, which will be matched dollar for dollar, resulting in a total investment of $50,000 into the endowment fund.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Marine Museum of Manitoba, which first opened our doors in 1974.  As we celebrate five decades of preserving and promoting Manitoba’s rich marine history, we are calling on our community and supporters to help us achieve this significant fundraising milestone.

You can make an online donation to our fund by visiting the Heritage – Marine Museum of Manitoba (Selkirk) Inc. Fund Online donation page.  Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ensure the preservation and celebration of our marine heritage.

Thank you for your support!
